Every year, MOAA’s affiliates compete to receive a four- or five-star Levels of Excellence Award. The very best councils and chapters receive five-star awards, while above-average councils and chapters receive four-star awards.  Our chapter has an outstanding record.  The chapter has won the FIVE STAR LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE AWARD for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Each year, national MOAA holds the Col. Marvin J. Harris Communications Award contest to identify those councils and chapters that do an outstanding job communicating with their members.  Our chapter's website has won a five-star Harris Award for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.  Our newsletter has won a four-star award for 2016 and 2021 a five-star award for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022.
